Originally from Malvern, Iowa, Kent Hertz has spent more than 30 years working as an audio engineer, music producer, videographer, and projection mapping artist in Nashville, Miami, and Los Angeles. With more than 800 projects released, Kent has built a diverse career collaborating with artists including Julio Iglesias, Godsmack, Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Steve Miller Band, Beyoncé, Alanis Morissette, Lonestar, and Toby Keith.
Recently, Hertz relocated his production company, Hz Productions, back to the Midwest, where he continues to produce music and support the development of emerging regional talent while working with artists and creative teams worldwide.
Whether collaborating with established music icons or developing new independent artists, Hertz is known for his thoughtful approach to production and artist development. His work spans rock, pop, and country, and includes contributions to Grammy-nominated recordings.
